The Palma Chamaerops is a typical plant of the Mediterranean scrub, it grows spontaneously in Sicily and takes the form of bushes 1-2 meters high.
Chamaerops is also known as “dwarf palm” and “cameropo”.
The dwarf palm can be grown in the open ground or in a pot; it is a very rustic plant, requires warm environments and resists drought.

Grubbing up and transplanting of Chamaerops palms
The ideal period for the removal of Chamaerops humilis or excelsae is from May to September. The Chamaerops is grubbed up with a clod of earth which must be stabilized and prepared for replanting.
