Cocos plumosa has a thin trunk and can reach 15 meters in height in a few years. It is known by the name of Palma Regina or Syagrus or Arecastrum.
The leaves of the Cocos plumosa are characteristic and give the palm the plumed appearance: they are arched, long and light, with a drizzle of air they sway softly.
To furnish gardens, borders and avenues, Cocos is a plant that can find a place in confined or very large spaces, preferring exposure in full sun.
Cocos is generally used to delimit avenues and edges, but it is also used alone to show its elegant bearing in a garden.

The ideal period for the explantation of Cocos plumosa is from May to September. Cocos is grubbed up with a clod of earth which must be stabilized and prepared for replanting.
